Measures
already taken
In
2003, La Posta del Águila performed
a study with the aim to establish not only
different methods to efficiently accomplish
the directives and practices on the environment
but also environmental health and safety
regulations. The study comprised the following
specific criteria: Energy use, acquisition
hiring practices, office supplies personnel
health, noise, aesthetic values and landscape.
As a result of this study, administrative
procedures were developed and many recommendations,
some which were immediately implemented,
were performed.
In
order to measure Seductive mineral water
bottles ´carbon footprint, our technicians
calculated the carbon footprint as follows:
• They designed a map for the different stages Seductive Mineral
Water goes starting from the company that manufactures the bottle up to our Premium
Mineral Water bottling.
• They analyzed the energy use directly involved in the different
stages and in turn they calculated the quantity of carbon emission.
•
They developed a program of adequate practices to prepare and make the staff
conscious about carbon footprint.
•
They calculated the transport oil consumption to optimize transportation.
•
They added up the quantity of carbon emission found in each stage to get the
final value.
